Baby Painting
Painting with a baby isn't easy. Honestly, I have been way to afraid to really attempt it. We tried doing some hand molds at Christmas, and my child refused to open her hands. I know if I put paint on them, she will just lick the paint off. I noticed someone posted this method on Facebook not long ago. With Mother's Day, I decided to make each of our mothers a piece of Melody art. See the mess free method below!
I started out with a canvas. (FYI- I also tried cardstock, but it does not do well with painter's tape.)
I used painter's tape to actual design the piece of art. I opted for "Nana" and "Nannie".
Apply different colors of paint along the canvas.
Place the canvas inside of a gallon size bag. I double bagged it because Melody managed to rip open the first bag!
Then let the baby go to town!
Make sure you get all of the letters covered. Pull it out and sit it on a safe place to dry. I tried removing the tape while wet ("Nana") and when dried ("Nannie"). I am not really sure what is best. It was less messy with Nannie for sure.
