Birthday Chalkboard
For Melody's First Birthday Party, I really wanted a chalkboard listing things all about her. I have seen this at so many other first birthdays, and I thought it was an adorable idea.
I initially created something on my computer using PowerPoint. I originally planned to print it as an 11x14 and frame it to display at her party. As the party neared, I began reconsidering due to cost. Printing that large of a print with the combination of buying a frame that large would cost at least $25-35 if not more. Plus, I wasn't entirely sure where I would have the room to display it. Therefore I opted to go another route. You can see an earlier version of this chalkboard below.
So two days before Melody's birthday party, I decided to attempt to draw it myself. I had a chalkboard we used at our wedding that I had Brad get down from our attic. I also had some chalk markers that happened to be the perfect colors that I bought a while back for another purpose. I threw this whole thing together unsure of where I would display it if I even liked how it looked. I was actually very happy with how it turned out. I added a few things that I did not originally include above and rearranged them as well. See it below!
