Sesame Chicken
We were buying groceries a few weeks ago, and on our menu that week was some form of a frozen meal. I was just going to get something from the freezer section at Walmart. I was thinking Asian, so maybe one of those PF Chang's meals for two. Well as we were looking for some Asian dipping sauces, I came across a PF Chang's Home Menu Sesame Sauce. I decided to purchase that and make my own sesame chicken. I am very glad I did! See what I did below.
Ingredients
- PF Chang's Home Menu Sesame Sauce
- Red Bell Pepper, sliced
- Half of an Onion, sliced
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Two Chicken Breasts, chopped
- Half a Teaspoon of Minced Garlic
- Sesame Seeds, optional
- Salt and Pepper
1. Cover the bottom of a pan with EVOO
2. Add chicken, salt and pepper, then cook for around 10 minutes on medium heat
3. Remove chicken from the pan and place on a plate
4. Add a tablespoon or so of EVOO back to the pan
5. Add the bell pepper and onions to the pan and cook on low-medium heat
6. Add garlic, sesame seeds, salt, and pepper; cook for approximately 6 minutes or until tender
7. Add the chicken back to the pan
8. Add about 1/2 - 3/4 of the container of Sesame Sauce
9. Cover and simmer for about 10-15 minutes
10. Serve with rice!
