Brownies
I must admit; when I found these brownies, I was hoping that they would be warm and fudgy brownies. I am not a huge fan of cakey brownies. Unfortunately, these are very cake-like. Brad loved them for that, but it was definitely not what I wanted from them. You have been warned!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 ounces of unsweetened baker's chocolate
- 1 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- Powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350; grease the bottom of a square 8 inch pan
2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over low heat; stir frequently
3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and vanilla
4. Add one egg at a time and mix well
5. Add flour, baking powder, and salt; mix until smooth
6. Pour mixture into pan and bake approximately 30 minutes
7. Let cool; top with powdered sugar and serve!
