Cracker Barrel Biscuits

Cracker Barrel Biscuits

CBBL.jpg

One afternoon Brad was craving Cracker Barrel biscuits. I offered to make regular biscuits, but those were not what he wanted. So a few days later I went to the grocery store and decided to get some buttermilk and try making them. I personally don’t have a biscuit preference and can’t tell a huge difference, but Brad can. I found a recipe online to try. They turned out great, especially according to Brad. See below!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups of Bisquick

  • 2/3 cups of buttermilk

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter (and a bit more for brushing)

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, mix together all of the ingredients until a dough forms

2. Place dough onto a floured surface and knead about 20 times. Roll about 1/2 inches thick and cut out into circles. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter.

3. Bake for 8 minutes at 450. Remove from oven and brush tops of biscuits with melted butter and serve!
