You Are My Sunshine Canvas
The theme for Melody's second birthday party was "You are my Sunshine". Literally a few days before Melody's party, I decided to make a canvas using her feet to be the rays of a sun. It was around 7:30 at night, and Brad looked at me like I had lost my mind, ha! But it actually turned out cute, and I plan to hang it in her room now.
I used a 16x20 canvas I bought from Hobby Lobby. Yellow paint was a must for the sun, and I bought pink and gray paint because it was fitting for her party and room.
The first thing I did was paint the sun at the bottom of the canvas. This let me know where to place Melody's feet for the rays.
Then with the help of Brad, I painted Melody's feet and pressed them down around the sun to make the rays.
I let this dry overnight, then I used the gray and pink paint to paint the saying "You Are My Sunshine".
And it's all done!
And now it is in hanging in Melody's room!
