Our Back Porch
One of my most favorite parts about our new house is the back porch. We now have a HUGE back porch that is COVERED!! Our previous house didn’t have any awning what so ever, and it was fairly small what porch we did have. So fixing up our back porch was one of the first things I wanted to do!
As a housewarming gift, my parents bought us our outdoor furniture. I wanted something longstanding that was cushioned. I found the throw pillows on clearance at the Pottery Barn outlet in Memphis. The furniture took about 3-4 hours to put together. It is much easier to do with two people as well.
We had some patio furniture from our previous house that we put in the corner of our porch. We plan move fix up a section of our back yard for our grill and this piece of furniture at some point in the future.
And my MOST favorite part is our bistro/cafe lights. I got them on clearance at Target during the end of season sale. It took 3 strands to go around our entire back porch. I used outdoor command hooks to hang them. It took a few hours between the cleaning ceiling where the hooks would go, hanging the hooks, letting them set, then hanging the lights. But I LOVE the way it looks. And now that the weather is cooler, I plan to spend a lot of evening out here!
We hope to add a TV in the near future too and replace the ceiling fan.
