March 2019 Disney Trip Report Day Two
So my mom and I went to Disney World earlier this month with Melody. You may have already read about all the planning we did (not much, ha!). Now I want to share with you more about our trip. Below is our trip report from our second day. We spent most of this day at Epcot. Follow along!
So we started off the day by SLEEPING IN!. We had such a long day the day before, we took advantage of not having plans until 10:30 am. We waited about 20 minutes or so on a bus, and made it to Epcot within about 25 minutes of getting to the bus stop. It was a huge difference from our trip in February when we could walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios!
I took a quick selfie on our way in, then we headed to Frozen Ever After to use our first Fastpass.
Melody will always hate this ride, and I will never understand. She will ride ANY size slide, but hates that tiny drop in Frozen, ha!
We spent sometime in the gift shop, and Melody wanted to walk out with everything. I was able to convince her to wait until later in our trip and not buy everything in the first store. But I also took note of things she wanted as potential birthday gifts!
Our intent was to now walk around the World Showcase. We had lunch plans at 12. But apparently the World Showcase didnβt open for people to walk around until 11. I knew shops wouldnβt open, but I was surprised you couldnβt walk through. We killed some time, got a little frustrated over the lack of places to find a coke, and we finally found shade and just waited it out until 11.
Once the opened the World Showcase, we headed to find a drink. We stopped at Joy of Tea in China. Mom wanted a coke and I decided to try the Bubble Milk Tea. I was thankful mom had cash because their machines were not working. Ugh lots of things going wrong. Oh and they didnβt have any of the pearls for the tea. AHHHHHHHH!
After getting our drinks, we continued walking and let Melody stop at the drums at the Refreshment Outpost. She had a lot of fun here. She even thought some of the drum sticks were microphones, ha!
We stopped to view the trains in Germany.
Then we made it to Japan. We ended up heading straight in for lunch at Teppan Edo. It was a great lunch as usual. And Melody did great since we had food for her this time!
After lunch we did some shopping around in Japan and took a few pictures. About then was when we noticed Melody lost her sunglasses :(. I went back to Teppan Edo where we last had them, but they werenβt there.
We then strolled through the rest of the World Showcase before heading to Journey into the Imagination.
Melody loves this ride, and they even changed up things and moved Wreck It Ralph to then open area outside of the ride.
We then did The Seas with Nemo and Friends (she smiles!).
Living with the Land
Spaceship Earth (man it was crowded, but we had a Fastpass!)
Then we strolled back through the World Showcase since we had a dinner reservation at Beaches and Cream.
We had some time to kill before our reservation, so we relaxed in the air condition of the Beach Club and let Melody play with our phones.
Then it was time for our yummy dinner. Mom and I split food because it is always way too much. And unexpectedly they actually put it on two different plates.
And of course ice cream was mandatory. And Melody demanded her own vanilla ice cream.
As we headed back to the front of Epcot to catch a bus back to our hotel, we stopped in Canada for Melody to dance and listen to the band Raffy. She had so much fun. It was probably one of the highlights that we could never have planned.
Then it was back to the room for us. Mousekeeping set up Melodyβs toys in such a cute way too!
