Snow White Party Favors ~ Magical Kisses

Snow White Party Favors ~ Magical Kisses

I went back and forth a lot on what kind of party favor to do at Melody’s Snow White birthday party. I really wanted something that went with the theme, but I also didn’t want to take ideas that made more sense for future birthday parties (princess wands, crowns, etc.). I came across an idea on Pinterest that referenced Magical Kisses, and I opted to go with that.

I bought Hershey Kisses when they were BOGO at Publix a few weeks before the party. I knew I was going to use white trays to display them (I have gotten so much use out of these trays I bought for our wedding, ha!). Because of this, I bought red party favor bags from Walmart to add color. I put about 10-15 kisses in each bag and tied it with curling ribbon. I had originally planned to attach little thank yous to each bag, but it didn’t work out. So I simply tied the ribbon in a bow and placed the bags in the tray. I did cut off some of the excess bag at the top though (you can see the difference below).

Since I did not do the individual thank yous, I decided to make a sign to place next to the tray. I had some wooden pictures frames leftover from the pack I bought for Melody to make Mother’s Day frames (I will share those later). I painted each one similarly to how I painted the wooden 3. Then I used my Silhouette pens to make a sign just like the one I had planned to make on individual cards.

I displayed these at the party along with other decor. The key when doing favors though…let people know they are there. I naturally assume the sign tells everyone that. But only one favor was taken… Next year I will either do not favors, or I will only do enough just for the kids. (Although the last minute favors I did for the kids [more to come on that later], I don’t think a single kid took). Oh well! It was still a cute idea, and Melody is still enjoying those kisses today!
