Paw Patrol Cookies
As I mentioned in many posts it feels like, I wanted to make cut out sugar cookies for Melody’s Snow White birthday party. Well I worked on a recipe for a while and finally perfected a cookie recipe and a cookie icing recipe. I used this recipe to also make apple cookies for Melody’s end of year teacher gifts. Well Emily asked if I could make Paw Patrol cookies for Lydia’s third birthday.
I told her I could as long as it wasn’t a complicated design. I mean I was new to this, ha! She bought a dog bone cookie cutter I used, and I also made some 3’s with the cookie cutter I already had. Well I made the cookies a few days ahead of time so that I knew they would completely dry before traveling to their final destination. Well the icing turned out AWFUL! At this point I had not perfected it, and it was super lumpy and not appealing.
I opted to quickly redo them since I had some batter I had set aside for the cookies. Of course this was against Emily’s wishes since she thought the original was fine, but I just couldn’t let those originals be the final ones. I redid them but this time I only did red and blue. They turned out MUCH better!
I let Emily have the clump ones, and she used a few (they did taste just the same!). She displayed them in a dog bowl too to play up the theme!
