Huntsville Botanical Gardens Spring 2019
So we visited the Gardens a few times this Spring, but definitely not as much as I would have liked. We did meet up with some preschool friends, made some new friends, and got Dada to come along with us too!
We got the opportunity to visit with one of Melody’s very closest friends from preschool. She absolutely adores her and asks of her constantly, so it was nice that we were able to spend some time with them one afternoon.
And that same week, we finally got Dada to go with us. We were prepared and put Melody in a swimsuit and arrived at opening so that we could enjoy some of the water areas. It was quite fun and quite wet! We even visited the infamous trains and found some other fun areas before heading to lunch.
We had lunch at the new Dogwood Cafe. Brad had the burger which he said was really good, and it was really nice for him to have an option that isn't a traditional sandwich or salad. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with the pasta salad. The sandwich was delicious and the chicken salad itself was great. It was chunky which is a nice change and I devoured it all. The pasta salad was just ok. It didn’t marinate long enough in my opinion and all the flavor was at the bottom. I would not get it again.
We did visit another day to explore the Chinese Lantern Festival. While I already wrote about this specific experience, we also spent some time in the Butterfly House and visited the snakes!
Our summer has been so crazy so far that I haven’t even had a chance to renew our membership or visit at all. Hopefully that will change soon!
