Disney on Ice 2019
So we went to Disney on Ice again for the fourth time. Each visit to watch has been slightly different. Our first visit Melody was like 5 months old, and we went with Brad’s family in Memphis. Our second visit was with Emily and Justin while the girls were one. Both of the husbands went, and we traveled to Birmingham. Our third visit was a birthday present from Emily right before Melody turned 2. The show was here in Huntsville and it was just us girls and my mom. This year wasn’t for any special reason except the show was in Huntsville and we were free during the week to go. It was just us girls again, and we decided to splurge and get floor seats. I thought the girls would love it enough this year to enjoy the closeness.
Before the show, we met for dinner at Panera. Then we easily parked at the VBC and we were there around an hour early. We were unsure of traffic, so we wanted to make sure we are early enough for snacks.
Speaking of snacks, we bought the usual popcorn and waters. Emily and I contemplated a fancy caramel apple, but we figured it would be too hard to split since they had no way to cut it for us. So we passed.
So then we found what we thought were our seats. An usher even told us where they were, and they still ended up being wrong. I did tell Emily they didn’t feel, right, but I thought maybe I was remembering the map wrong. Anyhow, we did get some cute pictures of the girls in that spot, haha.
What we thought was our view, haha.
The people that actually bought our seats didn’t show until after the first performance. So that was super frustrating to move then. I get we were in the wrong seats, but it was where we were told our seats were originally, and then for them to show up late was the icing on the cake. The fourth picture and beyond is at our real seats. Not bad views or anything, but was a little frustrating and super embarrassing. Side note, Melody was still terrified of the characters, so maybe the floor wasn’t quiet worth it yet!
Both girls LOVED the Frozen portion of the show, and honestly they were ready to go after that point. But where our new seats were, they were able to stand up and dance freely, so we all survived until the end!
