Snow White Favors ~ Ribbon Wands
The week of Melody’s Snow White Birthday, I started reconsidering party favors. I already magical kisses favors, but as the party neared I realized we would have quite a few kids. So I decided I wanted to do something small for the kids specifically but wasn’t sure what.
While at Hobby Lobby buying last minute things, I stumbled across these ribbon wands in the wedding aisle. Unfortunately the colors didn't work for her party, but I thought they would be perfect.
So I decided to go through the store and collect all the things needs to make these myself. I bought red, yellow, and blue ribbon (which as you can see below, I already had a variety but still used what I bought because it “felt” better); wooden dowels (I found this with the unfinished wood); and bells (I found this with the paints?!?!).
I already had a hot glue gun and glue sticks at home, so now the assembly began. First I cut the ribbon into equal lengths. I decided to do 8 favors. I took one of each color ribbon and lined them up evenly. I put hot glue in the center of the ribbon (I randomly but the ribbon in order). Then I placed the wooden dowel on top of the glue and let it dry.
Next I attached the bell to the inside ribbon. I began tying all the ribbons in a know, but before I secured it, I put another dab of hot glue on the wooden dowel then tied it. This kept it from easily coming untied. I was sure to move the bell around so it didn’t stick to the glue too.
Lastly, I trimmed up the edges of the ribbon.
And all done! Pretty easy and fun little favor for all the kiddos.
