Baby Shower Invitations

Whenever I start making invitations for any event, I always start out saying I will just pay and have them made and printed elsewhere. But then I start looking at things, and I tell myself I can make them myself for much cheaper. So here we are again, haha. I saw similar ideas of this invitations on Pinterest, but I don’t have any direct links. It is just where I found my inspiration. I made these invitations for my best friend for her baby shower recently.

I found Kraft paper from Hobby Lobby half off one week. I cut these in half width wise and that was my background. Then using my Silhouette Cameo, I designed a baby onesie and cut it out of white cardstock. I used my Silhouette Cameo to also write out the wording on the invitation. I used just a black pen for this. Then I had to find a way to attach the onesie to the Kraft paper. Glue was a possibility but not my favorite idea. I did this for Melody’s Snow White invitations, and while it worked, it wasn’t ideal. I hole punch would not really work due to how low I wanted to attach it. So I made my own holes. I started with a push pin. I push the holes through using it first in the exact locations. Then I used a wooden skewer to gently push the hole wider. And ta-da! I then used baby blue ribbon to attach the two through the holes.
