Rainbow Ranger's Birthday Party

For Melody’s 5th birthday, she wanted a Rainbow Ranger themed party. Well actually, about a month before she changed her mind to Doc McStuffins, but mommy had already bought Rainbow Rangers, so maybe Doc next year, ha. Anyhow, Rainbow Ranger itself was hard to find, but we did find lots of rainbow things we used along with toys we already had. Melody was specific and had to approve most things because she wanted everything to be in true rainbow order (aka ROYGBIV). The party itself turned out cute, and she loved it.

Ice Cream Invitations

My best friend decided to have an ice cream themed birthday party for her daughter. Birthdays during a pandemic are hard. Deciding when, who to invite, what to do is all near impossible. She decided fairly last minute on the party to help accommodate the girls dance recital and family. So she ended up sending invitations through text, but she still wanted them cute. So I helped her out and made a few for her. I wanted to share some samples below!

Frozen Birthday Invites

Since Melody’s birthday was dramatically smaller this year, I only had to make 4 invitations to mail out. I did make six in the end so that I would have some extras to store away. I debated between store bought, store printed, or DIY at home. And since I didn’t have to make as many, I opted for DIY. Plus the date was decide about 10 days out, ha!

Frozen Birthday Party

For Melody’s 4th birthday party, she wanted it to be Elsa themed. Instead of only focusing on Elsa, I did focus on snowflakes, blue, and other Frozen things we could find. I had grand plans for this party, but then COVID-19 hit. She originally wanted to invite her entire preschool class. But then school was cancelled, and even if I wanted to, it would be near impossible to get in contact with all of them. We also had trouble determining a date that we felt comfortable even seeing family for a party. We opted to keep the party dramatically small and only had immediate family and her best friend there. And we did it the weekend after her birthday. We decided this about 2 weeks before, but since I had already did so much planning, and I only needed to make 4 invitations, that part was easy. So follow along to my smallish Frozen party :)

Baby Shower Invitations

Whenever I start making invitations for any event, I always start out saying I will just pay and have them made and printed elsewhere. But then I start looking at things, and I tell myself I can make them myself for much cheaper. So here we are again, haha. I saw similar ideas of this invitations on Pinterest, but I don’t have any direct links. It is just where I found my inspiration. I made these invitations for my best friend for her baby shower recently.

Paw Patrol Invitations

My best friend Emily did a Paw Patrol themed birthday party for Lydia’s 3rd birthday. She really wanted to make some sort of invitation like she did in years’ past, but a lot like me, we keep saying that we are going to take the “easy” way out and buy premade ones. Well while that may be easy, it isn’t always as cute or as cheap. So with Pinterest’s help, we came up with a design, I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut it, and she assembled it!

Snow White Invites

I really struggled in deciding an invite for Melody’s Snow White themed birthday party. I wanted something easy but cute. I told myself after doing the invites myself the last two years, I was going to buy pre-made ones. Well that didn’t happen. Mainly because I found it hard to find the perfect Snow White invitation. So I came up with an idea. My fear was it would take too long and be too complicated. So instead, I came up with two other ideas. I ran them by Brad and Emily, and they both ended up agreeing on the more complicated one (although they thought the others were cute too). Let me share the final invite along with the other two below.
