Bounce House

Bounce House

Back in February before all of shutdown of all things due to the corona virus, we visited Pensacola. While there, my mom worked during the days and into the evening. So we had to find things to do from around 11 am until 7 pm. Well we visited two different indoor play areas. Neither place was too hard to find and within about 20-30 minute drive from our hotel. You likely aren’t looking for these places when you go to the beach because you are there to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. But if you find yourself there during the colder months or while it’s raining. Both places are great to visit with little ones. Today I will share about Bounce House.

As the name implies, it is full of bouncy houses, slides, etc. They also had other items that I will talk on below. It wasn’t impossible to find the location, but it is located on the side of a main shopping plaza, so you had to really look for it to find it. I also feel like the sign looks like a Waffle House sign, ha. They definitely didn’t invest much money on the outward appearance, but let’s take a look inside.

Like a lot of indoor play areas we have encountered, they do not allow outside food or drink. When you walk in, you will find the eating area. They sell a variety of drinks and snacks. They also have a punch card too that you should look into. Even though we likely won’t be back anytime soon, we still got the punch card because we were able to get a free snack on our first visit using it. They also do not allow food and drinks inside of the play area, but I saw plenty of people with drinks. They just don’t take them on the actual play things.

We only had to pay for Melody, and I believe it was right under $11 after tax. They also do not allow shoes, so we put her shoes in a shoe basket they have in the main area. I could have carried them, but I didn’t want to keep up with them. There were so few people there, I wasn’t worried about anyone taking them by mistake. If you aren’t planning to play on anything, shoes can stay on. We did ride a few things with Melody, and we just removed our shoes before going on.

For all of you moms of babies and toddlers, there is a small kid area. I think the age limit was 3. They have special color wristbands they give to those under that age. Unfortunately some parents still were letting their kids go over here. Luckily there were not any real small kids there for it to become an issue. I think Melody was the smallest one there the entire 3-4 hours we were there (yes 3-4 hours!). They have some smaller bounce houses and slides along with some other toys for younger ones. They had outdoor playhouses (inside), a few play “roller coasters”, and some wall toys too.

The older kid area had the large blow up slide, obstacle courses, and bouncy houses. We rode the slides many times with Melody without issue.

They also have a wall of old video games and TVs. I only saw one kid playing over there the entire time, but I went over there and did play a level of SMB3!

They also have a few other things that aren’t bouncy too. They had a group of kid sized tables with blocks and such for kids to play with. They had a makeshift lite brite setup. Not pictured are the air hockey tables.

Other things to note, they do have a party area if you want to book a party there. They do not accommodate walk in parties from my understanding though. They also have both men and women’s restrooms. The employees were really helpful and nice. They kind of stayed away unless you had a question. They didn’t provide much interference or observation of what was going on. We didn’t have any issues, and it wasn’t very crowded. So I am sure if there was a larger crowd they may be more observant. Overall, I recommend going here if you have a little one who loves to jump and you want somewhere inside to take them!
