Honey Bun Cake
So this is one of those recipes I have seen floating around facebook for some time. I actually bought all the ingredients with the thought I would make it for Emily and Justin during a game night. But then the Corona Virus hit, and we haven’t seen then in well over a month. So I gave up and made it for Brad and me. It is really good, but it does make a LOT. So we wasted probably half of it. And we usually have all of these ingredients at home.
Ingredients
1 package of yellow cake mix
4 eggs
3/4 cup of vegetable oil
1 cup of sour cream
1 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
2 cups of powdered sugar
1/4 cup of milk
2 teaspoons if vanilla
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and sour cream until smooth.
2. Pour half of the cake mixture into a greased 9x13 pan.
3. Stir together sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl and sprinkle evenly on top of the mixture.
4. Evenly pour the remainder of the mixture into the pan.
5. Bake at 325 for 30-35 minutes.
6. Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl. Poke holes using a fork into the hot cake. Pour the powdered sugar mixture over the cake.
7. Let cool before eating!
