Thumbprint Valentine
I racked my brain for a cute Valentine to give to our parents from Melody. I always like to try and do something with her hands or feet. This year I opted for her thumb and fingerprints.
First, I took a piece of cardstock and cut it in half width wise. Then I folded that in half too. This is now the card itself.
I had Melody pick two paint colors. She picked pink and red. On the outside of the card, I first had her use her thumb to make a head. Then I alternated colors and made the body of the bug using her fingerprint. Then I let it dry.
Once dried, I made eyes, a mouth, and antlers on the face. Then I drew legs on each of the parts of the body. I also wrote “Thumb Buggy Loves You!”
On the inside I let Melody write what she wanted. She decided to write “Happy Valentine’s Day I love you [grandparents name] Melody”
