Summer Bucket List Update
At the beginning of the summer, we made a bucket list of items we wanted to try and accomplish during Melody’s last summer before kindergarten. I wanted to share an update to how much we really accomplished before she started school earlier this month!
Places to Go
So we actually didn’t go to as many of the places I had hoped. Our summer stayed super busy, and we wanted a few days a week to go no where. With all the things we “had” to do, we didn’t do some of the things that were not on the higher end of the list. Here are the things we never got around to doing this summer:
Dance Camp - this was going to take up a whole week of our summer, and it just was not worth it to us.
Trash Panda Game - there was really no great day or time that they were playing locally that worked with our schedules
Explore Downtown Huntsville - just didn’t make the cut
Children’s Museum - just didn’t make the cut
Splash Pad and Train - the one day we wanted to do this, it rained.
Other than that, we went to all the places. We did go to a few places not on our original list. The big one below is High Point. Check out all the pictures below!
Things to Learn
So the only big thing we didn’t learn this summer was fully unbuckling our carseat. She can unbuckle the top, but the bottom gives her so much trouble. Other than that, we worked on all the things I had hoped. We even worked on our lunch box and lunch containers at home preparing for Kindergarten. I hope in a few weeks I can do a whole post about how we actually prepared for Kindergarten entirely. But having her practice using her lunchbox and containers as well as eating in a short period of time was critical. Oh and I also taught her how to make our coffee!
Things to Do
We didn’t really make a final decision on fall break, and I didn’t get Melody a new tutu just yet. Although I probably do need to get on that before dance starts…. We also went camping and had a yard sale!
