December Fun
As I mentioned earlier this week, December was a month of survival. It was also a really fun and memorable month too. We saw a lot of family, spent time with a lot of friends, experienced Melody’s first ER trip, and spent a lot of time with each other.
We did spend some time in carlines early this month before Christmas break. Melody had her first Christmas party at her elementary school, and she spent two weeks participating in fun dress up days!
Speaking of school, I got to visit Melody at her school during lunch for duty free lunch! With COVID, we are not really allowed at the school much, so this was such a fun treat!
Melody spent some time outside trying to learn to hula hoop.
Brad ever so SLOWLY removed his beard from No Shave November. And a little bit of interesting irony…. Melody got sick at dance the night he had the first look going. He had to run instead looking like a creep to help me take care of her. Literally the worst night for it, ha.
We spent sometime at my parents getting my oil change and tires rotated. Melody also discovered Christmas presents at my parent's house!
We did some fun Christmas baking and gingerbread house decorating. And we can’t forget Christmas crafting!
We finally got to eat inside our McDonald’s. The inside is so hit or miss on when they are open, but we finally caught them on an open night! The play place also reopened at our Chick Fil A since COVID.
Emily gave us a tent that Lydia is no longer using. Melody immediately fell in love. It did sit in my dining room and foyer about 3 days before it moved to its permanent home in our playroom. Many Barbies currently reside there.
Melody got herself a love letter from a boy at school.
Melody got all dressed up in her fun Christmas dance attire for her last day at dance for 2021.
Brad had a quick work trip.
We went to a classmates’ birthday party.
We celebrated lots of Christmas fun with family and friends!
As I mentioned above, Melody had her first trip to the ER. She has had some bad stomach issues, and with it being Christmas Eve, our pediatrician recommend the ER.
We visited my parent’s new land, and Melody got to drive the tractor.
Brad’s parents came to visit us after Christmas.
We had a fun picnic lunch in our foyer.
And lastly, we spent New Year’s having fun! This is probably one of my most favorite pictures of Melody, ha.
