Chicken Taco Jars
I have been searching for some easy lunch recipes. I stumbled across this one, and I immediately wanted to try it. It was really good the day of. My lettuce did get a bit soggy the next day. But I did really like how easy it was to make in general.
Ingredients
* Now the amount you decide to add to these jars will depend on how big your jars are. I am just going to list the general ingredients except the chicken.
1 can of chicken breast
1/2 tablespoon of taco seasoning
2 teaspoons of hot water
lettuce
tomatoes
onions
sour cream
salsa
cheese
Instructions
1. First you want to make the chicken taco meat. Start by mixing the taco seasoning and hot water until you make a paste. Drain the chicken and shred it. Add the paste and mix with the chicken until well mixed.
2. Now assemble the jars. I did it as follows: lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, onions, and cheese.
3. I let refrigerate a few hours. You can already see the bottom of the jar contains some juices from the salsa. It turned out good the day of, but I am not sure about beyond that. I also poured mine into a bowl for easier eating.
