Jack Daniel's at Opryland
While on our trip to Opryland in January, we had dinner at Jack Daniels. This is only the second time I have eaten here even with all of our trips there. On prior trips, it was hit or miss on whether it was open or not.
According to the time guide, it was to open at 5. We arrived then, and we were met with a 30 minute wait. Luckily, we were not super hungry yet, so the wait was not too bad. We sat in the Magnolia lobby and let Melody play on the staircase.
Almost 30 minutes exactly, I received a text our table was ready. It looks like staffing was the issue not the amount of people when it came to the wait. We were met with many empty tables. At the point, Melody was hungry, so she could only keep calm with coloring for so long, ha.
We ordered the Jack’s Honey Rolls for an appetizer. We debated between those and the fried pickles, but we opted for the bread thinking Melody might eat some. They are good, and the butter is better. Nothing out of this world, but a nice appetizer to easily split with a table.
Melody ordered the chicken tenders and fries from the kid’s menu. Both were delicious, as was the ranch that came with it. Melody loved the fries even with the seasoning they used. It was like a sweet seasoning.
When we ate here in 2021, I regretted not trying the sliced brisket. So I had to try it this trip. As my sides, I ordered the macaroni and cheese and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. The brisket was as good as I expected it to be. My only complaint was that there was a little more fat on it than I would prefer, but it was still delicious. Both sides were also really tasty. The macaroni and cheese was super creamy and tasted fresh.
My mom ordered the Jack Burger. We were surprised to realize it contained both a burger and brisket. We actually assumed it was a brisket sandwich based on the description. My mom did like it, but I am not sure she would order it again. It was a little too much on all the different flavors.
Overall the dinner was good. We did not have the best waitress, but the food itself made up for it.
