Aubrey's Restaurant
When we went to Dollywood earlier this summer, we stayed in Sevierville, TN in a beautiful cabin. I did some research into some restaurants in the Sevierville area for us to grab dinner at after our days at Dollywood. We really didn’t want to deal with the crowds in Pigeon Forge proper every night if we could avoid it. One of the places I read about was a placed called Aubrey’s Restaurant. So that was a place we kept in our back pocket for when we needed it.
After our first day at Dollywood, we left with the intent to just grab fast food. Growing up, my mom worked at Long John’s Silvers as a general manager. So we had it a lot. And we LOVED it. Well I don’t know that my mom did, but the rest of us did. I especially loved the crumbs and coleslaw. Well we no longer have them near us now. But there are a few in the Pigeon Forge area. So we went to the one nearest where we were staying. Unfortunately it was drive thru only, so we opted to skip it. That is when I thought about Aubrey’s. It was still fairly early, so we headed that way.
We arrived around 5:15, and there was not a wait for our party of 6. Just about as soon as we sat down, our waiter came by to take our drink order and brought by some bread and honey butter. Thankfully he brought two loaves, because it was delicious! We were all quite hungry, and we all loved it. I do not care for cinnamon butter, but honey butter is my jam!
Pretty much everyone at the table had the exact same order with the exception of Brad and Melody. We all got the “Perfect Pair”. It is basically a pick two sort of deal. We got the house salad with homemade thousand island dressing and the turkey and havarti sandwich. Brad and Melody each got chicken fingers. Without a doubt, this was the best salad dressing I think I have ever had. And apparently most people think this because our waiter brought us extra salad dressings without even asking us. And we used it! The sandwich was good too especially dipped in ranch. But the winner was for sure the salads. We are going back in a few weeks, and I am hoping to just get a extra large salad, ha.
Brad’s chicken fingers were also really good, but I didn’t even think to get a picture. I highly recommend eating here if you get the chance. It is not far from Dollywood, and the wait times are so minimal. Even our food was exceptionally quick.
