miss to mrs bridal shower decor
Let’s talk all about the decor we used at my cousin’s bridal shower back in September. The theme was miss to mrs, and the colors were sage green, dusty rose, gold, and cream. Ashley’s (my cousin) maid of honor is a florist. Well she wasn’t technically one at that time, but she did just open up her own shop local to us. So she did all of the floral arrangements. We kept the decor simple yet chic.
So she wanted a good focal point for where Ashley would sit to open gifts and mingle with everyone. We used one of our dining room chairs, and her maid of honor (Kelly) added some greenery to it. She also made the “miss to mrs” sign that we hung above our mantle. Ashley also had a small balloon arch that she had bought and thought it would work well at her shower. So we put it together and added it to the mantle as well. Kelly added some greenery to it too.
We played a game, Guess the Dress, and did a time capsule as the guestbook. Kelly made the sign for this. Then she brought the card for the game, and I made the cards for the time capsule. We placed it on the coffee table where everyone would be.
The food tables were pretty much decor themselves. We used food labels, craft paper as a table runner, gold napkins, clear plates, and Kelly did some flower arrangements. The dessert table was very similar but I used a gold tablecloth on it.
The coffee bar was kept simple with just what was needed to make coffee. The drink table had a flower arrangement, white tablecloth, and some cute pink straws. We had drink dispensers for all of the drinks as well.
We expanded Brad’s great grandmother’s dining room table that we normally have folded up in our foyer, and we put all of the gifts on it. Everyone was asked to bring a recipe instead of a card, so we had a spot for that here too.
Then we had a bouquet bar as the favors. Kelly set this up so it gave some extra decor to our foyer.
