Doc McStuffins Party Planning
For Melody’s 6th birthday party, I made a LOT of lists to help me keep up with all the things. Lists sometimes are my best friend, and when it comes to planning an event, they are super helpful. My lists vary from what is needed on each table, general decor, what is needed for each item (think invites, favors, etc.), and to do lists. My to do lists are done in two steps. One - I make a general list. Two - I take said list and organize it by ideal date that it needs to be completed. This then gives me a good idea on how I am going to complete all the things.
Since Melody’s party was at Cheerville instead of our home, set up was more difficult. I usually set up at home the day before. And I had never hosted or been to a party at this place. We also didn't have much time to set up. So I made a mock setup at home of the food table. This way I knew exactly where all of the things were going to go as soon as I got there.
I also made cookies for the party. Brad made cookie cutters for us, and we got to work leading up to the party. This was an optional task, but we had the time to make them, so we did it. And I am glad we did. They turned out so cute!
