Dollywood App

Dollywood App

When visiting Dollywood, we were sure to download the Dollywood App to help us navigate the park. While the park isn’t in need of navigation quite like at Disney World, there are some tricky areas. The app can also be useful in finding out wait times, height restrictions, and just general information. It is a great tool to help make your day a little bit easier. We also stored our season tickets in the app. By doing so, we did not have to go get a physical pass card made. Although this can be troublesome if you ever find yourself without internet. But you can also add it to your wallet in your phone to make it easier too. Another negative here is that with Bring-A-Friend tickets, they do not go away once used. So that can be a bit frustrating.

I did grab some screenshots to give you an idea of what the ride times look like within in the app. I do highly recommend downloading the app while home and getting familiar with it. But unfortunately, you can only see ride times if you are physically at Dollywood.

As I did mention above, a great tool within in this app is navigation. If you click on a ride or place you want to visit within the park, it will give you directions and estimated walking time. I found this useful for several reasons. One, there are a few areas that can be tricky. For instance we found navigating Country Fair and The Village a little tricky. Sometime it looked like a way would be an exit/entrance, but it wasn’t. Another instance is simply estimating if you have enough time to get to a specific place within the park. Or to even tell a friend to meet you somewhere in “X” number of minutes.

Those were really the two main functions of the app WE used. You can also make lists with your favorite rides, look at the details of each of the rides, view the restaurants, and much more!
