Dance Recital 2023
Melody’s 5th year of dance was this year, and she recently had her recital too. This was her last year taking a combo class, so she was one of the oldest groups dancing in her recital. And I honestly think they did the best. She has really come out of her shell over the last 5 years too!
We had rehearsal on Thursday before the recital on Saturday. My biggest complaint has always been the constant changes every year during rehearsal and recital. This year we didn’t have our usual changing rooms. So this made changing into costumes quite the hassle.
Saturday started bright and early for us. I did all of Melody’s makeup and hair at home before heading to the VBC. I took pictures of her before the show started because it can be quite chaotic after. She really did so great, and it was exciting that her and her best friend, Lydia, got to be partners this year.
After recital, she was given LOTS of flowers, then we took family pictures outside of the VBC before heading to get lunch!
