Sci Fi Dine In Theater
During our March 2023 trip, we spent our second day at the Disney parks (third day in Orlando) at Magic Kingdom that morning and Hollywood Studios that evening. We had a big, late breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table, so we didn’t do a real lunch. We decided to make a dinner reservation at Sci Fi Dine In Theater once we secured the plans for Magic Kingdom. Melody had never been there, and I hadn’t been there since our trip with friends in 2014.
We arrived at our reservation around 10 minutes early for our reservation. We were told it would still be another 30 minute wait. So we let the boys explore while we waited nearby. Well within 10 minutes, they were calling for us. So then we had to track down the guys. They wouldn’t seat us without them.
We quickly found them and were seated. I didn’t snap a picture of our car, but it wasn’t a traditional car. We were at a table with a hood and trunk. Melody was disappointed we didn’t get a traditional car though.
Our waitress was slow about taking our orders and bringing drinks, but the food came quickly. For my drink, I got the Pina CoLAVA. I am usually not a fan of a Pina Colada, but the addition of raspberry sounded intriguing, and it was really good. Melody ordered milk, but she wanted a fancy cup. So we ordered a souvenir one. We later found out it glows in the dark. It also came with a glow ice cube.
Brad and I both got the classic hamburger. It was really good. The fries were actually the best. They were steak fries but cooked perfectly.
It was a fun experience, but it can get awkwardly quiet and dark. So just beware if that isn’t ideal for you.
