Dollywood Parking
We found parking at Dollywood during our May/June trip a breeze. However, a Facebook group I am in had a lot of people thinking differently. Apparently it is much worse than last year. But seeing this is our first trip, it was all we knew.
You will find tons of signage that will direct you to the parking lot. We arrived an hour before park opening both mornings and had no issues getting into the parking lot. You’ll come across some parking booths where there will be employees either scanning your pass or collecting money for parking. Then you will follow the road until you find the parking space you want.
Each parking lot has a tram stop (you can see this in the first picture). Even if you do not use the tram, I recommend taking a picture so you remember what lot you are in. It all looks the same as you are leaving. We did not see a tram running this early, so we walked.
Outside of security you will find a few tents. One is a tent where you can pick up your timesavers. We did not buy this, so I am not sure if this is for resort guests only here, or for people you also prepaid. The second tent was for renting ECVs. They were not renting strollers outside. We were held at the security tents until roughly 9:15.
During our walk, I did take some pictures of where the preferred parking is located. It does have its own entrance, but it is located on this hill. That seemed to be the biggest complaint.
Before the entrance, you will find the ticket center and maps.
