Chefs de France - revisited
On our recent trip to Disney World, we decided to eat at Chefs de France again. This is Brad's favorite restaurant. I actually reviewed it on our anniversary trip back in May 2015. We try to eat here every visit to Disney if we can. Check out my review from this trip below.
Our dinner reservation was for 6:30 p.m., but we arrived around 6:20 to check in. We were seated almost immediately. They gave us a four person table and brought a high chair for Melody. I was slightly nervous on how she would do since she had a really big day full of new adventures, but she did really well. She laughed and played with her toys for most of our dinner. She did get slightly fussy near the end of our meal because she was getting tired, but we expected that!
Now on to the food! After we were seated, the waitress came and took our drink order. She then brought us out some bread before taking our meal orders. [The bread is amazing here, by the way!]
I ordered my usual appetizer of lobster bisque. I LOVE lobster bisque. We have a local restaurant here called Grille 29 that has AMAZING lobster bisque. I have yet to find anywhere that has any better, but it is quite good here at Chefs de France. They have some nice chunks of lobster meat right on top of the bisque. And while the portion looks small, the bowl seems endless! I think on our next visit I may just get this as my meal! I am always so stuffed when I finish it.
For dinner I decided to try something new for me. I went with the grilled tenderloin of beef with potatoes au gratin and green beans. I butchered my steak by ordering it well done! I know, I know, people frown upon this, but it is my preference. So the steak doesn't look amazing in the picture below because they had to butterfly it, but it tasted really good. It was cooked perfectly, and it was still juicy and had a lot of flavor. I was super full at this point, so I did not even come close to finishing it, but it was all really good otherwise.
The great thing about Chefs de France is that there is something everyone can find to eat. I feel like a lot of the other places throughout the World Showcase have a very limited menu selection when you travel with picky eaters. However, the menu here is very accommodating, and all of the food has been really good. I definitely recommend it to anyone who asks!
