Donut Grow Up
My best friend's little girl, Lydia, turned one on May 13. She decided to do a donut themed birthday party built around the phrase "Donut Grow Up". How adorable is that? She had a few ideas that she wanted me to do for her using my Silhouette Cameo machine. All of these were her ideas, I just designed and cut them.
First off was her outfit she was to wear during her cake smash. The shirt below, she wore in pictures prior to her birthday party. The bib and bloomers were both worn during her cake smash at her birthday party.
The other item I cut for her was the banner she used both in cake smash pictures and at the birthday party backdrop. She had the idea to cover a wall in balloons, then add the banner in gold cardstock on top of the balloons. This is where Lydia did her cake smash, and they took a majority of their pictures.
I think the entire birthday party was an adorable idea. Everything was centered around doughnuts. She found a lot of cute decor from both Hobby Lobby and Oriental Trading. She used lanterns with sprinkles above the party itself, she had a doughnut banner above the cake table, and even her cupcakes had doughnut edible decor on each of them. Her colors were pink, teal, and gold. Centerpieces at each table included pictures of Lydia throughout her first year, and each table contained party favors that were donut holes with the saying "Thanks a Hole Bunch!" It was all so adorable and a great theme for a first birthday!
