I turned 32 last Thursday! And in true Brittany-fashion, my birthday was celebrated over many days (and I still have a bit of celebrating to do with my annual birthday trip to Disney soon).
Thursday
Brad woke up early and fixed me a nice birthday breakfast. He made fresh waffles with bacon, and of course, they were Minnie Mouse waffles!
Melody had her waffles later because we didn't want to wake her! Instead of syrup, she had peanut butter.
As I was getting ready, Melody discovered her love for getting her lips "put on". Ha!
I met Emily and Lydia for lunch and some light shopping. We went to a local Mexican restaurant then followed it by visiting Target. Both girls had to have snacks to survive, of course!
After lunch, I let Melody cuddle with me and nap for the afternoon. She loves to cuddle!
For dinner, we went to Red Robin. Melody wasn't having any of the picture-taking!
After dinner, I opened presents. I received lots of fun things. Below are what Brad and Melody gave me. Brad gave me a really nice tripod for my camera, a Disney book I've been wanting, and a gift card to buy a shirt and MagicBand while I am visiting Disney next week. Melody got me the Jimmy Fallon book, Everything is Mama. It's the perfect book since whenever Melody wants something, she screams "mommy", not what the item is!
We also took a family picture, and we had some yummy ice cream cake!!
Friday
Friday evening we went and spent sometime with my parents. I really wanted a good salad bar for dinner, but they are so hard to find. My parents have a place in Moulton, AL that has a good salad bar. So we all went to dinner there. Melody has recently found her love for ranch, ha!
Saturday
During the day, Emily, Justin, and Lydia all came over. We ordered pizza for lunch, and we played Pandemic along with some expansions we have.
For dinner, my mom came up and watched Melody while Brad and I went to the Melting Pot. Last year we took Melody to the Melting Pot, but this year we were really hesitant on how she would act for two hours. So we opted to do it without her. It was super yummy as usual!
Everyone made my birthday super special, as always!
