We just returned from another trip to Disney World. Over the next seven days, I will be sharing our trip report day by day. You can find my planning post here. So let’s get started!

We started our second full day at Disney doing a DVC Tour. We were approached to do a tour on our anniversary trip a few years back, but we declined. We always felt bad because it was something we wanted to do. I mean we even remember the cast member you spoke with us, Frank. We just have never had time on any of our trips to do the tour. It takes 60-90 minutes plus travel time. So we purposely blocked out time for it this trip. I plan to write in more detail about the tour later, but it ended with ice cream at 10:30 am!

So we were borderline making our Safari fastpass time due to the DVC Tour, but we raced through the parks and made it! Melody started out between us, immediately grabbed our arms as the truck began moving, and ended up in Brad’s lab not long into the safari. It was exceptionally bumpy compared to other rides.

We took the time to take a quick photo after the safari.

Then we headed over to Pandora to ride Navi River Journey.

Next up was lunch at Restaurantasaurus. Like the previous day, I did mobile ordering as we finished up at Pandora. It worked out perfectly. The line was out the door, and we just walked right up and it was ready almost immediately.

After lunch, I went over and used a fastpass for Dinosaur. Brad took Melody over to the Boneyard to play during this time.

Then Brad headed to ride Everest (twice).

And I watched Melody. She loves the Boneyard. She rode every SINGLE slide there! Even the really tall one.

We finally got her to stop playing (many tears were involved) so that we could leave. It was really, really hot, and she was wearing long sleeves. And she hated stopping for water.

We skipped going back to the hotel because we knew she would fall asleep on the bus, and she did! We went straight for The Land and rode Living with the Land, then we headed over to Journey of the Imagination with Figment.

Then we headed over to the Festival Center to see what kind of shirts they had there for the Festival of the Arts.

Melody claimed she wanted to meet Anna and Elsa, so we headed over since it was only a 15 minute wait. It turns out we almost literally walked in. She refused to smile. We think she just got really nervous when she saw them in person. Thankfully she didn’t cry!

We spent some time just roaming the World Showcase at this point just killing time until our dinner reservation.

We ate dinner at Via Napoli, then continued our walk of the World Showcase. We went back towards the front of the park and bought coffee and popcorn.

I snagged a fastpass for illuminations earlier in the evening. We wanted to make sure to see it this trip since it will be ending this summer. It is Brad’s favorite. This night was our best night for staying out late, and we wanted to do the fastpass to keep from having to snag a seat and wait for a while. We arrived around 8:45 for a 9 pm show. We had pretty good seats as you can see below. We sat before the show started, but we stood during the show itself to have a better view. It isn’t the most spectacular view, but it was still nice since we didn’t have to save a spot with a two year old!

Then we headed back to the room and found this gem left by the mousekeeping!
