February 2019 Disney Trip Report Day Four
We just returned from another trip to Disney World. Over the next seven days, I will be sharing our trip report day by day. You can find my planning post here. So let’s get started!
We decided to sleep in today since we spent the night before up late watching Illuminations. Of course sleeping in for us is 8 am, ha! Once up, we got ready and headed over to Disney Springs for the morning.
We shopped on the west side for a bit. Melody loved how quiet it was and the freedom she could have since the crowds were non-existent this early.
We went over to Chicken Guy! at 11 am when they opened. We did have to wait in line until they officially opened the doors, but we were second in line. Their machines to charge the food to the dining plan was down, but thankfully they were helpful. They went ahead and let our order go through, and we went back up before leaving to pay. And the food was just as great as before!
We spent another hour or two at Disney Springs doing some shopping on the Marketplace side. Then we headed back to our hotel to relax and let Melody nap. FYI - the bus stop at Disney Springs is awful for the deluxe Epcot resorts. All 5 resorts (Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, Beach, and Yacht Club) share a bus. It takes forever. On our way back we actually got off at the Dolphin because Boardwalk is the last stop.
After the nap, we decided to go walking over at the Beach and Yacht Club. We had dinner reservations at Beaches and Cream. This was one of the restaurants Brad wanted to try this trip. So we let Melody walk around and play at the Yacht Club while we waited until our reservation time.
Then we headed over about 15 minutes before our reservation time to check in. We were seated almost immediately. Melody loved the jukebox!
After dinner we headed over to Epcot to spend a few hours. We walked through the World Showcase and got popcorn. Then we headed to Spaceship Earth to ride it.
