Torn Basil
So Torn Basil is a restaurant found in the Memphis Airport. We ate there while waiting for a flight on our way to Orlando back in February 2019.
We went back and forth throughout the airport to find somewhere to eat, and we opted for Torn Basil because it was literally steps away from our gate. We werenβt starving, but we knew we needed to eat. The seating is fairly limited, but there are table and chairs outside of the restaurant you can be served at too.
We ordered immediately after seating, but it still took like 30 minutes to get our food. Luckily we had the time before our flight because they were slow for sure. The waitress was nice and attentive, so I think it was definitely the kitchen slowing us down.
Brad ordered the classic individual pizza. It was really good, but definitely individual. I did try it, but Brad easily devoured it. We liked the crust and flavor overall. Not sure it was worth the longer wait though.
I ordered the house salad with ranch. It was fairly small, but I expected that. The ranch was really great though and the salad itself was fresh and good.
I really liked the food here and would eat here again if traveling through the Memphis airport and I have plenty of time. That is the key, make sure you have time!
