Easter 2019
We had such a fun and blessed Easter this year. Let me share with you all that we did!
First off, we were able to do Easter picture this year with my aunt. Melody wasn’t having it. She has been very anti-photographers lately. But we did get a few smiles with the help of Lydia and Emily.
Easter festivities then started with chapel at preschool. They did a parade and sung songs. It was really cute and fun. And thankfully the parents were invited to watch and participate.
Then the next activity was her Easter Egg hunt at preschool. This was for the children only, but I was sure to get some shots before she went to school. And yes, those are socks on her hands. It is a small obsession she has, ha! Oh, and she stocked up on candy and dug right in after school!
My dad worked Easter Sunday, so we spent Saturday with my parents celebrating Easter. Melody was able to hunt eggs, and she enjoyed all of the treats, toys, and snuggle time! And she spent a lot of time outside with my dad playing on the four wheeler, playing in the boat and RV, and looking at the animals in the farm behind their house.
Easter Sunday Melody woke up to the Easter basket the Easter bunny brought her. She loved it all, but I think her favorite thing was the jump rope. She plays with it ever day, ha!
Then she had a small Easter egg hunt in the house.
Next up, we went to church.
Then we had brunch at Texas de Brazil. We did this last year and loved it so much. They offer free soda and tea and one dessert per person during brunch. They also offered a few special “brunch” items. This mainly consisted off pastries and eggs with bacon. But the eggs were amazing! Overall this was probably our best visit to Texas de Brazil. And we go about 2-3 times a year.
After brunch we treated Melody to ice cream. She did so good at brunch and there wasn’t a dessert she liked. So this was our reward. And she loved it (all 10 bites, ha).
We relaxed the rest of the afternoon until Emily, Justin, and Lydia came over. They had been sick and didn’t travel for Easter, so it seemed fitting to get the girls together for an egg hunt. The men hid over 80 eggs in the backyard. The girls lost interest after about 3 minutes, ha. We had to bribe then to find them all!
Overall we had a wonderful Easter with family and friends.
