Pandemic Legacy Season Two Late April
So we lost the first part of April, so we get another chance to win for the month before we move onto May.
This game we had 7 epidemic cards and 6 rationed event cards.
Below is our board when we originally set up the game.
Denver was plagued during the initial infection. Definitely not a good start to the game.
And here is how the game went…
Brad went first; Cairo plagued
Justin - Epidemic: Istanbul, but since it was 0 we drew again and it was Jacksonville instead. Jacksonville plagued
Emily - accessed Lost Haven and named it Dagobag. We got to open box 6 (see below); Denver and Jacksonville plagued
Now we opened box 6. It came with a recon report that you can read below. Then we had some actions to take right now before moving on.
We received 3 antiviral lab cards. Emily got to put one in her hand, and the other two were placed in the discard pile for future games’ use.
We also got to take 15 supply cubes and add them to the stockpile. This is something we get to do for all future games using the hidden supply cache stickers that we placed on the board and rule manual.
We also received a new action…inoculate. It is a free and really beneficial action. You can take either a player or infection card from the discard pile that matches your current city and place it in Box 6. The trick is you can only place 30 player cards and 30 infection cards. These cards remain in the box every game until you are instructed to remove them. There is a lot of benefit to this if you see you keep drawing the same city over and over. But we knew this would come up again and could potentially be dangerous. So we were very cautious with this action.
Brittany - searched Atlanta; Buenos Aires plagued
Brad - searched Lima twice; Cairo plagued twice; WE LOST
Below are the impacts of the plague cubes and supply centers.
Jacksonville -1 (1)
Denver -1 (2)
Buenos Aires -1 (0)
We had 4 production units to spend. We added “foundation” to both Buenos Aires and New York cards, and well stocked to both Cairo and Lima cards.
