Chocolate Chip Cookies
As I have mentioned many times, Melody loves chocolate chip cookies, but she hates any I ever make. So anytime I see a new, good looking recipe to try, I try it. These were by far my favorite of all that I have made. They are HUGE. But Melody still prefers Chips Ahoy!
Ingredients
2 1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, room temp
3/4 brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I used the whole bag, ha)
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until combined.
3. Add in the egg and vanilla to the sugar mixture.
4. Stir in the flour until well combined and no dry pockets.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Measure 1/4 cup portions and place onto a cookie sheet. I rolled them into a ball them flattened them on the cookie sheet. I also used parchment paper. You may want to spray your cookie sheet otherwise. I fit around 6 to a pan. This recipe made around 12 cookies.
7. Bake at 350 for around 12-15 minutes. Let cool.
8. Serve!
