I love gravy and biscuits, but I can’t have it at most places because it is made with pork and I am allergic. So I find myself making it at home instead. This is definitely a weekend breakfast for us, and it is better made with grease from turkey sausage or pork sausage/bacon instead of vegetable oil if you have it.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil (or bacon/sausage grease)

  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons of flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper

  • 2 cups of milk

Instructions

1. Heat oil over medium heat. Then add flour, salt, and pepper. Whisk until brown, about 10 minutes.

2. Slowly add milk to the mixture until it is smooth but thick. If it is too thick, add more milk. If you thin it too much, add a bit more flour.

3. Serve!
