Counting Carrots

Counting Carrots

Now that we are stuck home and schools are no longer open, we are constantly finding new crafts to do to help keep us busy. Right now I am focusing on Easter/Spring crafts. This is a super easy craft, and as long as you have some glue, construction paper and scissors you are good to go!

So first take a brown piece of construction paper and and fold it about 1/3 up. Then glue that piece down.

With orange construction paper, cut out 6 (to however many you want) carrots. To make the craft more educational, I added numbers on the bottom. I did 1-6, but you can use any numbers that work for the next step.

Now with green construction paper cut a square out that will fit the width of your carrot without showing. Then you will want to cut the tops to match the numbers you wrote on the carrots above.

Now have your child glue the correct carrot top onto the carrot.

Then you can place them them into the brown paper.

This can be used as a fun exercise too. Like which carrot is number 6? Then they pick the carrot from the paper that has 6 pieces on its carrot top. Cute and easy!
