Pandemic Legacy Season Two Late December
Here it is. The last game (or at least we assume there are not any tricks to come). I have to be honest, we went into this game feeling fairly defeated and not sure there was even a chance to win. But we still tried to make the most of it.
Below is our board before infecting.
And here is the board after our initial infections.
And here is how our final game went:
Emily went first. Brad used his Unrationed Event - Strategic Reserve t put 9 reserve cubes into the stockpile.
Brittany - Riyadh plagued
Brad - Utopia plagued
Justin - Baghdad and Utopia plagued
Emily - Epidemic: Jacksonville; Riot Control: Moved Utopia to Game End Area
Brittany - Exposed, no scars
Brad - Exposed: Exhausted Scar; Shelter: Riyadh
Justin - Satellite Tower: Jakarta; System Wide Production; Epidemic: Jacksonville
Brad - Epidemic: Jacksonville
Justin - Jacksonville plagued
Emily - New Mumbai and Utopia plagued
Brittany - Epidemic: Chicago; Chicago plagued; We lost…
And below is our final, final board. I mean it was a brutal ending to the series!
Before we went through the final cards in the Legacy Deck, we had to go through the ordinary steps. Below are the impacts to the cities due to supply centers and Hallow Men/plague cubes:
Utopia -1 (6)
New Mumbai -1 (1)
Bagdad -1 (0)
Riyadh -1 (0)
Cairo 0 (already at max of 8)
Kinshasa -1 (0)
Lagos +1 (already at max of 8)
Johannesburg +1 (5)
Paris -1 (0)
London 0 (6)
Washington +1 (already at max of 8)
Jacksonville -1 (2)
Chicago -1 (4)
Los Angeles +1 (already at max of 8)
Atlanta -1 (0)
We received 5 production units. We made the satellite tower permanent in Jakarta and upgraded Kinshasa to 1. As I am writing this, I do wonder why we decided to keep that satellite tower permanent instead of upgrading another city. But who knows really.
Ok, so now the Legacy Deck. Card 1 below…
Depending on if you delivered the sample determined your next moves…
Below is how you calculated your score.
If you failed to deliver the sample, you could get your score here:
And if you succeeded, you can find your score here:
We did not deliver the sample, and we fell into the lowest category. We failed!
And now it’s over!
Although I didn’t do a write up on Season One, it was dramatically better. This game was confusing and too much was constantly changing. Emily, Justin, and us were all in the process of moving in the middle of playing too. So things were chaos and we were not playing super often to remember from game to game all the rules. Oh well!
