Rainbow Ranger Birthday Party Food
While I wanted to be sure and have food that Melody liked at her birthday party, I also wanted food to fit the theme. I tried to incorporate as much "rainbow” as I could and also appeasing Melody!
I let Melody see a variety of cakes until we opted for a cake with rosettes that were in rainbow order. I envisioned it slightly different than it came though. I have included my inspiration picture. I found some Rainbow Ranger figures on clearance that I included on top of her cake.
The same was done for the cupcakes. I asked for them to use the same colors as the cake, and I topped them with a variety of rainbow toppers and some white chocolate unicorn candy I made.
One of the rainbow foods I included was fruit. I tried to include fruits Melody would eat along with keeping with the rainbow colors. I did the following:
Red - watermelon and strawberries
Orange - Cuties
Yellow - Pineapple and Mango
Green - Green Grapes
Blue - Blueberries
Purple - Red Grapes
The other rainbow food I included were M&Ms. Melody loves these, so it worked out perfectly.
Our cookies were a mixture of rainbow and non-rainbow. I bought sugar cookies from Publix that were covered in sprinkles, and I also included Melody’s favorite - chocolate chip cookies.
The last two foods were not rainbow foods, but they were some of Melody’s favorite foods. We did chips with french onion dip and chex mix.
I think all the food turned out both delicious and really pretty overall. I loved incorporating some of Melody’s favorite foods, but also including rainbow foods to fit the theme.
