Cleaning our Washing Machine
I try and clean our washing machine itself once a month. I sometimes do it more in the summer when Brad mows because grass can build up in it. So I will clean it every time I wash his outside clothes. I have used a variety of cleaners, but I did want to share my latest cleaning experience.
So I started out simply using laundry detergent and run the clean function of the washing machine. I found on BOGO Carbona Washing Machine Cleaner. It does require a bit more effort. I had to put it on a washcloth and wipe down the inside of the washing machine.
In addition, it gave instruction to clean the detergent drawer. I honestly was clueless this was removable. As you can see it is kind of gross.
We mixed some of the solution with water (read the label for specifics), let the drawer soak, wiped it down, and it was all clean.
Then I poured the rest of the bottle in the washing machine, ran it on clean cycle, and it was all done.
I got some Tide washing machine cleaner packets on BOGO a few weeks ago that I plan to use soon. But I really did like this cleaner. I don’t know that I would use it every time because of the cost, but it is worth it on occasion when on BOGO.
