So after making BBQ Nachos at home, I really questioned why it took me so long to make this. It is really simple, and it tastes delicious. It reminds me a lot of the BBQ Nachos we get when we go to college football games. I used shredded chicken because of my pork allergy, but you could use any meat you prefer!
We recently were going to grill BBQ chicken, but as the grill was heating up it ran out of gas. So inside the oven it went!
I found this BBQ Chicken Casserole on Pinterest a while back. I had to remove a few of the ingredients to satisfy both Brad and I, but I think the recipe I used turned out really well. Brad was really nervous, but we were both surprisingly impressed and enjoyed it.
I love BBQ Sauce, but we rarely use it for some reason. I guess in my mind, BBQed items are meant for the grill. Well while visiting my parents, they made BBQ Pork Chops (on the grill), and I decided to attempt them myself but in a skillet. I personally don't care to grill. I like food from the grill, but you won't find me using it. I liked this so much, I may try it on chicken sometime soon too!
A few weekends ago, I helped host a shower with some of Brad's family for one of his cousins who is getting married later this summer. They live in South Florida, but both his cousin and his fiancé are from Memphis. My mother in law came up with a "hometown" theme. Memphis is know for their BBQ, so that was a must. Then we decided to incorporate both Elvis and the Memphis skyline. The shower was a team effort. Below is the final product of that effort. I am going to do a few posts later about the crafts I did specifically though.
