Frozen Picture Frame

This is another craft Melody was able to help with for her Frozen birthday party. Like most parties, I made a pictures frame to frame a picture of her in either Frozen attire or with Anna/Elsa/both. For her help, I used tape to maker off the middle where she did NOT need to paint. I had her paint the top silver and the bottom blue. Once dry, I remove the tape and I painted the white middle.

Elsa Painting

One of the crafts Melody was able to do herself for her birthday party was a painting of Elsa. I had intended for this to be much, much bigger and on a larger canvas, but it did not work the way I planned. So I went with a smaller canvas, and it worked out perfectly.

Happy Everything 4

Just like last year, I made a Happy Everything attachment for Melody’s Frozen birthday party. I could not find a snowflake I loved and would stand out on the serving dish. So instead I bought a blue glitter wooden 4 from Hobby Lobby. Like last year, I hot glued velcro to the back of the 4. Then I attached it! Super easy to do with just about any occasion.

Frozen Cupcake Toppers

My original plan for Melody’s cake at her Frozen themed birthday party was to do an Elsa cake similar to the Snow White cake I did last year. However, she said she didn’t want that. She wanted a sheet cake from Publix, but they didn’t have the exact one she wanted, so I opted for cupcakes. I bought some snowflake edible toppers a while back that I did use on some of the cupcakes, but I did make a few toppers too using my Silhouette Cameo.

Frozen Birthday Banner

Like all parties, I made a banner for Melody’s Frozen birthday party. I used my Silhouette to make the banner and went a different route than usual. I opted for circles in a blue glitter cardstock for the background. Then I used a free Frozen font I found online and cut that using white glitter cardstock. I also included snowflakes on each side of Happy. I could not use regular glue for this project. It didn’t handle well to the glitter. Instead I used hot glue. It took some time, but it worked. Check it all out below!

Frozen Party Favors

What started out as very simple party favors turned into something a bit more elaborate in true Brittany fashion. As you can see, Melody had a Frozen themed 4th birthday party. The idea was to have snowflake wands for all the kids. While we did those (and you can see the how to below), since there were only 4 kids including Melody plus 2 babies, I also incorporated a bit more since I had the room to spend more. Check it out below.

Frozen Birthday Party Food

Melody’s birthday party this year was at night instead of during the afternoon like parties past. So I felt like food needed to be handled slightly different. Since it was from 5-7, I knew I needed to serve dinner food as well as the dessert food I had planned. My original idea of her party included more kids, more people, less food, and all desserts!

Frozen Birthday Invites

Since Melody’s birthday was dramatically smaller this year, I only had to make 4 invitations to mail out. I did make six in the end so that I would have some extras to store away. I debated between store bought, store printed, or DIY at home. And since I didn’t have to make as many, I opted for DIY. Plus the date was decide about 10 days out, ha!

Frozen Birthday Party

For Melody’s 4th birthday party, she wanted it to be Elsa themed. Instead of only focusing on Elsa, I did focus on snowflakes, blue, and other Frozen things we could find. I had grand plans for this party, but then COVID-19 hit. She originally wanted to invite her entire preschool class. But then school was cancelled, and even if I wanted to, it would be near impossible to get in contact with all of them. We also had trouble determining a date that we felt comfortable even seeing family for a party. We opted to keep the party dramatically small and only had immediate family and her best friend there. And we did it the weekend after her birthday. We decided this about 2 weeks before, but since I had already did so much planning, and I only needed to make 4 invitations, that part was easy. So follow along to my smallish Frozen party :)
