WellieWisher Doll Beds

Many months ago, Melody and Brad came up with the idea to make beds for her WellieWisher dolls. This actually became a thought before Christmas last year as a potential gift idea. After much trial and error and brainstorming, we finally finished it a few weeks ago.

Teacher Gifts Ideas

I have a few teacher gift ideas that I used for both end of year gifts and now back to school gifts for her teachers. All of the products happen to be Simplified products. Some of them I wished I would have gotten myself before they sold out, but maybe during the fall launch!

Sweet Treats for Teachers

Very [VERY] last minute I decided to make Melody’s preschool teachers cookies for Valentine’s Day. I mean, literally the day before I was searching through party supplies for treat bags and making the labels and cookies. And while I only ended up with two cookies per teacher, it is the thought that counts.

Candy Cane Place Cards

We recently celebrated Christmas with Emily, Justin, and their little ones last weekend. I hosted this year, and I wanted to make it fancy-ish. We decided to do breakfast for dinner (which was fun and different), and I made his place setting as cute as I could without getting out the fine china plates and silverware (I did use our fine china glasses). Well I also decided to make some cute and easy place card holders. They are super easy and cheap too!

Silhouette Cameo Part Five

Since the pandemic started back in March, we have been busy keeping Melody entertained and keeping the family sane, so I have not used my Silhouette quite as much. But I did find time to use I for some gifts, shirts for a trip for a coworker of Brad’s, and masks. If you had told me in January I would be making monograms and names for masks, I would have thought you were crazy, but here we are!

DIY Telescope

One of the fun things Melody likes to do with her newish swing set is play with the telescope. She thinks it is so much fun to point it at us throughout the yard and find us. So we had the bright idea to let her make her own telescope using paper towel rolls.

Button Caterpillar

During our intense craft times this summer, I found this craft for Melody to do. I did most of the work myself since Melody can’t use the hot glue gun, but she still had fun picking out all the buttons.

Popsicle Craft

This is a perfect summer craft with your kiddos. You simply cut up some construction paper in the shape of a popsicle. Then cut up more random sized pieces. The kids can then glue the pieces on the “popsicles”, and lastly you glue a craft stick onto the back. Easy peasy!

Handprint Work Gloves

For my dad’s birthday, we made a craft using work gloves and Melody’s handprint. I saw this a while back and knew I had to recreate it. I do wish the gloves did not have a logo on it, but I also didn’t want to pay an astronomical amount on gloves that I do not intend for him to use.

Paper Plate Flower

A paper plate flower is a cute and easy craft that you can do for the spring or summer, or even as a gift for a parent or grandparent. All you need is a paper plate, some paint, scissors, glue, a popsicle stick, and green construction paper (or white paper colored green!). And if you are missing any supplies, you can easily improvise!

Ice Cream Invitations

My best friend decided to have an ice cream themed birthday party for her daughter. Birthdays during a pandemic are hard. Deciding when, who to invite, what to do is all near impossible. She decided fairly last minute on the party to help accommodate the girls dance recital and family. So she ended up sending invitations through text, but she still wanted them cute. So I helped her out and made a few for her. I wanted to share some samples below!

Frozen Picture Frame

This is another craft Melody was able to help with for her Frozen birthday party. Like most parties, I made a pictures frame to frame a picture of her in either Frozen attire or with Anna/Elsa/both. For her help, I used tape to maker off the middle where she did NOT need to paint. I had her paint the top silver and the bottom blue. Once dry, I remove the tape and I painted the white middle.

Build Your Own Truck Craft

Melody is a girl who loves playing cars. For her birthday she wanted a race track and loved her remote control jeep. So I saw on Pinterest where you could cut up several different shapes and then glue them into random vehicles, so this was a perfect craft. We have actually done this numerous times, and she is always making different things. Her favorite things to make are trains and dump trucks, but the possibilities are endless!

Elsa Painting

One of the crafts Melody was able to do herself for her birthday party was a painting of Elsa. I had intended for this to be much, much bigger and on a larger canvas, but it did not work the way I planned. So I went with a smaller canvas, and it worked out perfectly.

Happy Everything 4

Just like last year, I made a Happy Everything attachment for Melody’s Frozen birthday party. I could not find a snowflake I loved and would stand out on the serving dish. So instead I bought a blue glitter wooden 4 from Hobby Lobby. Like last year, I hot glued velcro to the back of the 4. Then I attached it! Super easy to do with just about any occasion.

Hand Print Nana Craft

For my mom’s birthday I wanted to come up with a craft that didn’t require me to go into any stores to buy anything. I do have a lot of craft supplies at home, but we have used a lot of them over this quarantine, ha! So I decided to make this cute craft I have seen all over Pinterest, but used what we had at home to do it.
