The Ice Cream Show
During my research of restaurants in Chattanooga, I found two places we could potentially go for dessert near our hotel. One of those places was The Ice Cream Show. We decided to go visit it on Friday night after having dinner at The Blue Plate. It appeared to be an easy walk from both our hotel and the restaurant.
As we were walking, we had to question the map a few times. As we were walking, all we saw were apartments. So it was really confusing. But we continued to walk hoping the map wouldn't steer us wrong, and it didn't. The restaurant was right near the Walnut Street Bridge which is a nice stroll to take.
The menu here can be a little overwhelming, but you do have plenty of options to pick from! When picking ice cream {or shakes}, you start with a base flavor (vanilla or chocolate}, and that includes sugar free options! Then you pick if you want a cup, waffle cone, or shake and what size. Then you pick your add ins. They mix them together and you have an amazing shake or delicious soft serve! They also offer other desserts as well.
There is plenty of seating, and they even had a kid area in the back that was nice for Melody.
On Friday, I ordered the strawberry cheesecake waffle cone. Brad ordered a medium cup with sugar free vanilla ice cream and decaf coffee beans. The total was $12. Mine was delicious. It tasted very similar to Subzero. Brad's was really good, but as he got to the bottom the coffee beans were really strong. So he could not finish it.
It was so good, that we revisited it again on Saturday night. I decided to try something different, so I got the medium vanilla cup with strawberry, white chocolate, and marshmallows. Brad got a vanilla shake with Oreos. His shake was really good, but really thick. Mine was good, but better the night before. And I would have preferred it without the marshmallows. They were not as good as I had hoped.
I would definitely recommend going by here for dessert. We loved it, and it was nice to be able to take a stroll on the walking bridge afterwards. If you are ever looking for a good dessert in Chattanooga, check them out!
