On a trip to Montgomery this summer, we stopped by Wharf Casual Seafood for dinner. The menu looked great online, and the location was ideal to where our hotel was located. It was also next door to where my mom would be working that evening.

When we walked in, it reminded me of a Newk’s. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of the restaurant. But you simply walk in and order at a counter. Then they bring your food to you. As expensive as the food is, I expected it to be a full sit down restaurant.

Below is the menu.

We also were given styrofoam cups. Again, not what we expected.

The food however was great. I ordered the crab claws with fries and cheese grits. The crab claws were great, and they curbed my seafood appetite. The fries were standard, but the cheese grits were really good. They were overly cheesy to the point of being too rich, and they were not dry. I would definitely order it all again.

My mom ordered the fried shrimp along with the fries and cheese grits. The shrimp was really good too.

All the food was really good, and the food itself did live up to the price. The atmosphere wasn’t what we expected, but I would eat there again if in Montgomery.
