Unexpectedly Homeschooling Week Five
This week has been a fairly quiet week as far as anything new goes that impacts us. We kept our focus on Easter this week, and we also spent a lot of time outside when we could.
On Monday, we spent time in her workbook and continuing to learn to write Melodyβs name. We also did two crafts. She also spent a lot of time that afternoon playing in her playroom while I broke out my sewing machine. I am hoping to sew us some masks in the next week or so.
Tuesday was dance day! Tuesdays are also our grocery pickup days. So she gets McDonaldβs. We have also had a lot of trouble finding bubble solution, so we spent the afternoon making our own solution and testing it (more about that to come!). We also took a nap which NEVER happens!
On Wednesday we did more work in her workbook and continued to work on her letters and name. She (primarily me though) made a bunny mask, then she did a lot of dot art.
Thursday was dance day again. We also broke out Melodyβs tablet to try and use it for ABCMouse more, and she spent some time playing with that. We decided to make Disney churros too! They were delicious! Then we spent the rest of the afternoon outside playing. We did a lot of chalk art and played with all of her toys.
Friday was just Melody and me because Brad was doing a lot of outdoor work. We did some workbook time, then we did a few crafts. Her preschool art teacher dropped of some crafts at our door on Thursday for us to do. That was really nice and gave me a break! We also did some work with color mixing.
We spent Easter weekend doing outdoor work and celebrating! I will be blogging about that tomorrow.
Week Five Plans
So this week I think we found a schedule that might work for us and keep fighting to a minimum (see below). My best friend also sent me some worksheets that she got from her preschool that I plan to print and use during the week and take a break from her workbook for a bit. Next week (week six) I also plan to redo how I am using my planner.
