Party Fowl
So normally when we go to Nashville, we always stop at the American Girls store and The Cheesecake Factory. Well our trip back in January, we did go to AG, but we skipped TCF. We just got one here in Huntsville, so we decided to try something different. It was also a Friday night, so we figured it might be busy too. Near AG was a restaurant called Party Fowl. It didn’t look busy, so we decided to give it a try.
We were seated immediately. It was not very busy, with the exception of the bar area. It was nearly full. They also have a stage over near the bar, which I suspect had entertainment as the night goes on.
We were greeted almost immediately, and our server was great. We immediately ordered Melody’s food (chicken fingers and fries) while mom and I looked over the menu. I didn’t get a picture of her food, but it was really good, especially the ranch. We actually took her ranch and used it with our meals.
I ordered the chicken and beignets. I got my chicken southern style which is their mildest heat. You could get any side item, but I opted to keep the cole slaw. I loved that my meal was a complete meal including dessert. The chicken, bread, and pickles were really good. I think it could have used the mild heat just to give it some spice, and it was really great dipped in ranch and my mom’s white sauce. I used a fork and knife and just cut it up to eat it. The slaw was also pretty good. I probably wouldn’t get it again, but it was not bad either. The beignets were delicious. They do have a hint of bourbon, so beware. But it was a nice ending to our meal.
My mom got the hot chicken po boy with fries. She got the chicken with mild heat. I think it would have been better southern fried. It came with white sauce, but it was better with Melody’s ranch for sure. And the fries were really good too. They are skinny fries. I would order this again too. Mom and I actually split both meals to try a bit of both.
Overall it was a good choice to eat here. It was quick and really good. There appear to be quite a few throughout Tennessee, so I could see us stopping at one again for sure.
